OSU-Cascades launches new degree program in exercise and sport science

Beginning this fall, Oregon State University - Cascades will offer a bachelor's degree program in exercise and sport science (EXSS).  The program is seen as a good fit for the Bend campus because of the synergy offered by Central Oregon Community College's two-year program in exercise science, and because of the regional interest in fitness and sports.  Students in the exercise science program at the community college who are interested in continuing their studies

Lower extremity injury researcher to lead new exercise and sport science program at OSU-Cascades

A researcher, educator and clinician in the exercise and sport science field, Christine D. Pollard, Ph.D., PT recently joined Oregon State University -Cascades to develop and lead its new Exercise and Sport Science (EXSS) program.  The degree program was approved in July and the first course will be taught by Pollard and offered in fall 2011.

OSU-Cascades Commencement Speaker delivers message about challenges of each generation

OSU-Cascades 10th Commencement on Sunday, June 12 was attended by about 2,000 and celebrated the campus' first decade with guests including OSU President Ed Ray, OSU Provost Sabah Randhawa, and former UO Provost and Senior Vice President John Moseley.  The ceremony included the presentation of the first annual OSU-Cascades Distinguished Service Award.
