First-Year Experience

As part of OSU-Cascades comprehensive First-Year Experience, first-year students, with very few exceptions, are required to live on campus. Living on-campus is an excellent way for students to connect with key campus resources and build community.

Thriving on Campus

In both nation-wide studies and research conducted at OSU-Cascades, first-year students who live on campus earn better grades than students who live off campus, and also tend to graduate more quickly.

  • Every hall has staff members dedicated to student success, including a full-time professional residential education coordinator and live-in student staff.
  • On-campus residents are steps away from everything that campus has to offer.
