Confirm your student status
You are considered a transfer student if you have 36 or more transferable credit hours and have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent more than a year ago. Learn more about transfer admissions.
Submit your application
Complete and submit your application for admission to OSU-Cascades.
Make an ONID Account
Once you have been admitted (including students enrolled in the Degree Partnership Program) you’ll receive an OSU Network ID (ONID) account. Your ONID serves as your university email address and as a login credential for university services.
Go to the ONID website to activate your account; select “Sign Up for ONID” on the left-hand side.

4. Deposit & Register
Pay Advance Tuition Deposit
Pay your Advance Tuition Deposit committing to Oregon State.
Get ready for Transfer START
New transfer students complete an online orientation before coming to campus to meet with an advisor and register for classes.
5. Find a Roommate
Fill out the Roommate Questionnaire
Make sure you understand how gender identity affects roommate matching.
Return to the housing portal throughout the spring to search for potential roommates. Make sure they are eligible for the same communities you are. If you wish to live in a triple room, you can select more than one roommate. See more roommate matching tips.
If you have a friend you already know you would like to live with, you both must select each other.
6. Room Assignment
Students must complete all items in Steps 1-4 before they can receive a room assignment.
Room assignments begin
Future residents for the Fall term will be able to choose their room assignment between June 1, 2020 and August 13, 2020 by signing into the housing portal. Students who did not complete the application by August 13, 2020, will receive room assignments later in the summer.
